So that was a 365, a fairly accurate description of a fairly exciting and busy year for me. I’m glad I managed to finish it. Though I’m not sure I will attempt a photo a day again! Its nice to look back and have a diary for this year, from all the travelling, to times spent with friends, to time spent sitting indoors working towards finals its been a mixed year. So I think this tumblr will morph more into an adventures of Erica! Whatever that may bring!
Celebrated the new year in style…
In bed ill all day, so lots of reading and sleeping…
Drove home from Lara’s.
Played a game of carcassone with the family. Then went to bed ill…
A visit to grandma in the morning, lunch with my great aunt, then a rush back to Norwich (via a shortcut that took us in a circle for an hour…) to be able to go to Lara’s party and see my old school friends. Lots of giggling, card games till the early hours, demonstrating how badly I muggle dance…
Spent the morning with my great aunt, and then drove nearer Wales to visit my grandmother in hospital. Stayed with my aunt and cousins…
Drove to Coventry to visit my Great Aunt, and one of dad’s school friends. It wasn’t an easy visit knowing how ill the oldies are becoming and how long I’m going away for…
Christmas day. Board games, walks by the river and general family stuffs!
Had a Doctors appointment, then we went down to the river for Christmas!
Went to sailing for Rum Punch Sunday – the way the club celebrates Christmas. Santa arrives by boat for the kids, there is a huge raffle, lot of mince pies (made by me this year!!), lots of rum punch, and a bit of sailing too!
I was leant B50 to race. It was a nasty blustery day, with lots of gusts that attempt to floor me, not really my favourite conditions to take a beautifully maintained totally wooden boat out on a crowded start line on a narrow river… My friend Charlie crewed me, which was really nice as I haven’t seen her since the summer. We had a great time laughing our way around the course, and having a good old natter. We came last, in both races…Not entirely my fault, but we enjoyed being on the water anyway. However my wrist is now killing me (the one with the buggered tendons that would happen to be holding the mainsheet on the really gusty long tacks…) and I have a bright purple knee…
The afternoon was fun, catching up and gossiping with everyone I the clubhouse and thankfully avoiding the raffle prizes!
